Sure you can go to Google to find the answer to a question, but sometimes you really want a human perspective on the answer you’re looking for right?

Aardvark brings that human element and has developed social search into a part of my daily routine that just seems to work.

As a quick overview, Aardvark allows you to either be an individual that asks a question or part of the network to answer questions that are presented to the community in a variety of identified subject matter areas.

Currently, you can ask questions via email, instant messaging via Google Talk, twitter and now you’ll be able to answer or ask questions no matter where you are if you’re an iPhone user.

The usefulness of Aardvark being mobile is the travel related questions that are pertinent to users, as well as the people that are local to the area being able to answer those questions. Questions like, "Where’s the best sushi on the north side of Indianapolis?". With the iPhone functionality including GPS location automatically, if someone asks a question about a specific location or area, that question is presented to community members in that area first.

Another ongoing release from Aardvark continues to impress. They’ve not been around very long and they are continually releasing new updates and features. All good things to see in a startup, especially one was useful as I’ve found Aardvark to be these days.
