GateGuru: Your Guide Through The Airport
By Staff Writer – John Federico (@gadgetboy)

I’m not a consistently frequent traveler but I do go through periods where I’m on the road a lot. Flying in and out of the usual airports (OHR, EWR, SFO, LAS) is fine – after a few trips, you know where all the important places are (Starbucks, Continental President’s Club, A good burger, etc.) and if I want to meet people while traveling, I’ll try boarding.fr.
Occasionally though, I’ll find myself in an airport that I frequent less than the others and have no idea where anything this. It can be a bit inconvenient, especially on the tail end of a long business trip.
That’s why I want GateGuru.
Available now in the iPhone App Store, GateGuru is your guide to the best food, shopping and service options in 85 U.S. airports. (Think of it as “Yelp for airports”.)
Found something that wasn’t listed in GateGuru? You can add it and upload it to the GateGuru database for everyone to find. And if you’re in the sharing mood, you can connect to Twitter and Facebook to tell everyone where you are. While it has social hooks it won’t likely replace BrightKite and Gowalla as general location-based apps but the social components are nice.
More photos after the jump.
