Picture 154Google’s Blogger has released into its Blogger in Draft version the ability to monetize with Amazon Associates.

This is a big deal for those looking for an alternative to only displaying Adsense on their blogs and branching out to test the affiliate marketing waters.

Amazon and Blogger have apparently reached a deal to make this a reality. To be honest, it couldn’t have come at a better time for Blogger users. With the multitude of changes that have slowly been rolled out by the Blogger team over the last few months it is great to see them focused on allowing their users an alternative way to make some revenue from their content.

For Amazon this was no small deal. They now have access to hundreds of thousands of bloggers, millions of page views and an opportunity to target products better.

For Google and Blogger this is no small deal either and a great way for them to engage their users in a discussion about monetization. Beyond all the content that is created Blogger can begin to solicit more information from readers and hosts to look for other future ways to generate revenue.
