Pegshot Lets You Share Videos and Photos Instantly
By Staff Writer – Boonsri Dickinson (@boonspoon)
Brace yourselves folks, we really are entering a location land rush. Pegshot is a mobile application that lets you share video and photos of “what’s happening where you are.” When you peg your location, a map will pop up to mark your spot.
Still wondering what Pegshot is? Think Flickr plus Foursquare with the option to send out tweets and Facebook updates.
The brain child of Pegshot is Phil Thomas Di Giulio. “We recently spun off a new service based of the original premise of WellcomeMat (video of places and spaces), but one that’s far more consumer centric,” says Di Guilio.
“Your loved ones can follow what’s happening in your life by hitting your Pegshot page. Users can also tag their location to a local business or event,” he says. You can log online or access Pegshot through iPhone and Android apps. Don’t worry Blackberry users, your app is coming soon!
This afternoon, I’m going to Pegshot headquarters to interview Di Guilio. So check back tomorrow for my video interview with him!
