Facebook Fraud: Hey, I Didn’t Put Myself On Facebook
By Staff Writer – Boonsri Dickinson (@boonspoon)
Bob Guccione Jr. didn’t know he had an online identity, until his friends told him he had a Facebook account.
He emailed me: “Phantoms who create Facebook accounts in other people’s names. I mean, why?” Bob didn’t create his profile, so he wanted it removed. Come on, who made his profile in the first place?
I emailed Facebook to ask them to take his profile down, but they didn’t respond. I emailed again, and didn’t hear back. Ugh.
My hair dresser also told me someone made his profile for him. Instead of resisting the social network, he conformed and began friending people. An English researcher told me his students set his profile up and he also began navigating through this strange digital world.
Bob is wise. He has kept his innocence from Facebook’s creepy world. Even a fake profile of someone pretending to be him doesn’t tempt him to join like it has so many others. But in all seriousness, someone from Facebook should remove his profile ASAP.

This happened to me too. Is there anything I can do about it?
Bob Guccione Jr. says he didn’t put himself on Facebook…..o.k. What’s the problem? If you didn’t put yourself on you didn’t put yourself on, neither did some one else. What I’m trying to say Bob is….you are NOT the only person with that name. That name on Facebook…..is not you. The only way that could possibly be you is if it had a picture of you attached to that name. Chill…..it’s o.k…..it’s not you.
The name has his picture attached to the name.
That happened to me an they put a picture of me on it under my name and middle ID and last name. Does anyone know if I can make facebook tell me the IP address and email addrss
